We're Weird Veg People

We love our veg at Uprooted Farm! Most of our growing is what we consider our staple vegetables:

Beets, Carrots, Garlic, Potatoes

Every year we will be producing more and more of our staple veg to provide to our neighbours and friends, and every year we will experiment with different veg, fruit and other unique and exciting tastes that tickle our fancy! Check our Instagram/facebook and Farmer's blog for the different varieties we will be testing out each year!

Our seeds are carefully chosen every year for heritage varieties and unique and interesting produce that you can't find in grocery stores, and of course Canadian, whenever possible! Our primary seed source is Heritage Harvest Seeds, from Manitoba. Our seed potatoes are sourced from Eagle Creek Farms in Bowden, Alberta, and our seed Garlic is sourced from Twin Brothers in Strathmore, Alberta! #supportlocal #uprootedfarm

We love beets. This was likely where our decision to farm came from, so we have a trio to choose from, Bull's Blood, Chioggia and Golden Beets!

Our first planting of garlic made its appearance in 2018, and we have been hooked ever since!

This is just a sample of some veggies we have grown in our short life as farmers. We continue to experiment every season, with new and interesting veg to try out on our farm.
